3D Engineering Designer at LovePop

We are Lovepop, the company behind the paper-art phenomenon featured on Shark Tank. We combine art and engineering to craft cards and gifts that have generated over $300 million in lifetime sales and helped customers create more than 65 million magical moments. We are looking for a 3D Engineering Designer to turn creative concepts into production-ready prototypes that keep our designs both beautiful and manufacturable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain master design files for every new product.
• Translate concept art from the US design team into fully engineered 3D models and final prototypes that match the original creative intent.
• Estimate material and production costs for each new design.
• Generate fresh engineering concepts and 3D files based on sketches provided by the US team.
• Recommend materials and production tools that improve quality or reduce cost.
• Review feedback from the US design team and other departments, then propose and implement solutions that refine the final product.
• Ensure all deliverables stay on schedule and meet production standards.

Must-haves

• College degree or higher in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience in a comparable 3D design or product-engineering role.
• Hands-on knowledge of 3D pop-up cards and kirigami techniques.
• Understanding of model-making methods and material properties.
• Proficiency in Rhino, 3DS Max, AutoCAD, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to set goals and meet deadlines.
• Creative eye and solid sense of aesthetics.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English.
• Vietnamese nationality.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience negotiating with vendors or production partners.
• Track record of mentoring or supporting teammates on technical challenges.
