Are you ready to shape the future of interactive characters in virtual worlds? At Convai we build conversational AI that lets developers create human-like NPCs for games, training simulations, and immersive experiences, and we are looking for a Senior 3D Character Artist to help bring those characters to life.
What you bring
We need a Senior 3D Character Artist who will join us full-time in a remote capacity. You will combine strong artistic skills with technical fluency in Unreal Engine, Zbrush, Marvelous Designer, 3ds Max or Maya, and emerging AI tools to deliver production-ready digital humans. Your three main responsibilities will be designing and importing lifelike MetaHumans into Unreal Engine, sculpting detailed faces and accessories in Zbrush, and producing realistic clothing and hair that integrate seamlessly with our AI-driven characters. The position is open to candidates located anywhere.
Requirements
You bring senior-level expertise with Unreal Engine and MetaHumans, advanced sculpting skills in Zbrush, proven experience with Marvelous Designer for apparel, and solid rigging abilities in 3ds Max or Maya. Familiarity with Ornatrix for hair creation and Realusion Character Creator is a plus. A bachelor’s degree in Game Design, Computer Graphics, or a related field is preferred. Beyond technical skills you communicate clearly, collaborate generously, and maintain a strong portfolio that demonstrates realistic human character work. English fluency is required.
