We are currently looking for a Working Student in Data Science to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will help us enhance the customer experience in our e-commerce shops and support our service units by implementing cutting-edge AI solutions. You will gain hands-on experience across the entire machine learning pipeline, from data annotation and model evaluation to deployment and monitoring.

Key outcomes

• Assist our data science team in developing and refining machine learning solutions.
• Manage the annotation of real-world data to support model training and validation.
• Evaluate the performance of machine learning models tailored to specific customer use cases.
• Collaborate on data engineering tasks to improve our internal systems.

Requirements

• Current enrollment as a student with a strong interest in data science and machine learning.
• Proficiency in Python programming, with additional knowledge of TypeScript considered a significant advantage.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Practical experience using scikit-learn or similar tools for model evaluation.
• Excellent command of English, paired with strong proficiency in either German or French.
• A data-driven mindset, natural curiosity, and the ability to work in a self-organized, structured manner.

Preferred qualifications

• Solid understanding of analyzing and assessing machine learning models, particularly regarding classification metrics.
