WordPress Developer at Awesome Motive

We are looking for a mid-level WordPress Developer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and building the infrastructure that powers our platform. You will create new features, improve existing codebases, resolve bugs, and help us scale our services to reach millions of users. We value craftsmanship and simplicity, and we are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys owning projects from initial concept through to final deployment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the lifecycle of product features and addons, including scoping, development, and testing.
• Triage incoming bug reports and implement enhancements through our GitHub repository.
• Refactor legacy code with a focus on maintaining backwards compatibility and improving system performance.

Requirements

• Professional experience with WordPress plugin architecture and development standards.
• Advanced proficiency in PHP and MySQL, including modern practices like namespacing, traits, and interfaces.
• Strong working knowledge of JavaScript, including vanilla JS, jQuery, and ES6.
• Experience integrating and working with third-party APIs such as Stripe and WooCommerce.
• Ability to utilize build tools like webpack or gulp and manage dependencies via Composer or NPM.
• Comfortable using version control with git and GitHub.
• Availability to attend audio and video meetings between 9 am and 5 pm EST.
