The role

We are looking for a Junior WordPress Developer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in Pakistan. This position is perfect for a developer with 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience who is eager to contribute to a dynamic environment. You will play a vital role in shaping our web presence by working alongside our marketing and design teams to build and manage high-quality, user-friendly websites.

Core responsibilities

• Build and customize WordPress themes and plugins from the ground up to meet our specific project requirements.
• Oversee the technical health of our websites by performing regular testing, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
• Collaborate closely with our marketing, design, and product teams to translate UI/UX concepts into functional, high-performing web experiences.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong technical foundation and a collaborative mindset. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• Deep expertise in WordPress, specifically regarding custom theme and plugin development.
• Proficiency in core front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• A solid understanding of responsive design principles and SEO best practices.
• Experience using Git for version control and a clear grasp of website architecture.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to solve complex technical problems within a team setting.
