We are currently focused on building robust solutions that power home networking experiences for millions of users, and we are looking for a skilled engineer to help us push the boundaries of wireless technology and reliability.
The role
We are seeking a Senior Wi-Fi Developer to join our team in Sunnyvale, California. This is a contractor position that requires an on-site presence. You will play a vital role in our engineering department, focusing on the end-to-end development and long-term sustainability of our Wi-Fi devices.
Core responsibilities
- Design and implement innovative software features specifically for our gateway products.
- Partner with hardware vendors to integrate advanced Wi-Fi chipset solutions into our existing architecture.
- Optimize Wi-Fi performance and provide expert technical support to resolve complex customer issues.
Skills and experience
To succeed in this role, you should possess a strong technical background and a passion for networking. We require the following qualifications:
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience delivering Wi-Fi switch products.
- Deep expertise in C programming and embedded Linux development.
- Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP internals and standard network protocols like DHCP, DNS, and HTTP.
- Demonstrated experience with Wi-Fi development and debugging at the L1 and L2 layers.
- Solid understanding of IEEE 802.11 protocols, including WPA, RADIUS, WPS, and 802.11n/ac standards.
- Practical experience with VPN technologies and strong problem-solving capabilities.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Fluency in English.
