VP, Technology Infrastructure at RUE GILT GROUPE

Rue Gilt Groupe is a prominent off-price e-commerce portfolio company that connects shoppers with world-class brands through our platforms, Rue La La, Gilt, and Shop Premium Outlets. We are currently seeking an experienced executive to join our team as the Vice President of Technology Infrastructure. In this role, you will architect, operate, and secure the technological backbone of our billion-dollar business. Reporting directly to our Chief Technology Officer, you will act as a strategic partner in shaping our enterprise technology direction and driving our ongoing digital transformation. This position is available on a hybrid basis, with the opportunity to work from our Boston or New York offices.

Key outcomes

• Lead, inspire, and empower a lean, efficient team while fostering a culture of accountability, alignment, and transparency.
• Develop and execute a vision for our cloud-first infrastructure, ensuring our strategy aligns with the company’s broader operational and financial goals.
• Cultivate strong relationships with senior business stakeholders, product leadership, and strategic vendor partners to influence decision-making.
• Maintain near 100% uptime for our e-commerce platforms by promoting a world-class operational culture that balances high availability with rapid, secure code deployment.
• Oversee our cybersecurity posture, including the implementation of security policies, mitigation of threats, and management of compliance efforts.
• Manage budgets, contracts, and investment cases while utilizing data-driven insights to report on key performance indicators.

Requirements

• Extensive executive experience in technology infrastructure, specifically within cloud-based environments, database operations, and network security.
• Deep expertise in cybersecurity, including the ability to present security strategies to executive leadership and board members.
• Proven ability to drive a DevOps culture that enables reliable and fast software delivery.
• Strong background in vendor and contract management, particularly regarding managed services and licensing.
• Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and multi-cloud environments such as AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure.
• Experience managing diverse technical environments, including custom in-house technologies and transitions from monolithic to micro-services architectures.
• Proficiency with network infrastructure tools, including Cisco and Meraki.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Fluency in English.

Preferred qualifications

• Prior experience working within the online retail or consumer-facing e-commerce sectors.
• Experience with site build-outs, site-to-site integration, and the selection of data protection service vendors.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $250,000 to $287,000. We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support our associates, which includes:
