At SRTX, we are redefining the textile industry by merging cutting-edge technology with sustainable manufacturing. As a certified B Corp, we are best known for Sheertex, a knit made from one of the world’s strongest polymers. Our tights are so durable that they offer up to 50 more wears than the average product, significantly reducing the number of disposable garments sent to landfills. We are a team of over 250 problem-solvers working out of our combined headquarters and factory, where we foster a culture of constant innovation and direct impact.

The role

We are looking for an experienced executive to join us as our VP, Process Engineering. This is a full-time, on-site leadership position based in Canada. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of our fiber and polymer processing operations, playing a critical role in scaling our technology from pilot lines to full-scale manufacturing. We need a hands-on leader who can bridge the gap between R&D and production while maintaining our high standards for quality and sustainability.

Core responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for fiber and polymer processing that aligns with our long-term manufacturing and sustainability goals.
  • Oversee the management of pilot lines and lead the transition of new products from development into mass production.
  • Optimize existing manufacturing processes to improve throughput, reduce costs, and integrate advanced technologies like automation and data analytics.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should possess a deep technical background and a proven ability to lead complex engineering initiatives. We require the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field, with a Master’s degree or PhD preferred.
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in fiber, polymer, or textile manufacturing, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership or process engineering capacity.
  • Deep expertise in fiber extrusion, polymer processing, and advanced material manufacturing.
  • A demonstrated track record of managing pilot lines and scaling products from R&D to full production.
  • Strong project management capabilities and the ability to mentor and develop high-performing engineering teams.
  • Proficiency in English.

Compensation and benefits

We provide a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being and professional growth of our team members. Perks include:

  • Paid time off and sick leave.
  • Dental insurance and access to telemedicine services.
  • A dedicated learning budget to support your career development.
  • Commuter benefits, including a bike program and support through Opus & Cie.

How to apply

If you are a dynamic leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to make a meaningful impact on the future of textiles, we would love to hear from you. Please submit your application to join our team and help us continue to innovate at SRTX.
