At Fourier, we are dedicated to making on-site hydrogen production universally accessible. Our team has developed a breakthrough design for fully automated, modular electrolyzer systems that maximize efficiency across all load levels. With the backing of top-tier venture capital firms, we are on a mission to transform the global energy landscape into a sustainable and emission-free future. We pride ourselves on a culture of innovation and collaboration, where every person on our team makes a tangible impact on our success.
What is this role?
We are looking for a VP of Hardware Engineering to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in the United States. This is an executive-level position for a leader who has a proven track record of shipping industrial hardware products. You will be responsible for guiding our architectural direction and overseeing the development of our systems as we scale our operations and commercialize our technology.
What will you do?
- Lead the hardware engineering organization, overseeing the development of production devices, test stands, and stack hardware while reporting directly to the CEO.
- Manage the full product lifecycle by driving prototyping efforts, planning development timelines, and steering the transition from initial design to late-stage manufacturing.
- Build and scale a world-class engineering team, fostering a culture of accountability, velocity, and professional growth.
What makes you a great fit?
You are an experienced leader with at least 3 years of engineering management at the director level or higher. You have successfully navigated the complexities of taking hardware from early-stage prototypes to full-scale production. We are looking for someone who thrives in resource-constrained startup environments and possesses deep expertise in non-consumer hardware, such as industrial systems, robotics, or aerospace. You should be comfortable working in English, skilled at collaborating across cross-functional teams, and capable of setting a clear technical vision that meets ambitious deadlines.
What's in it for you?
Joining Fourier means you will play a central role in building energy resilience and advancing sustainable technology. You will have the opportunity to shape our engineering culture from the ground up and lead a team of exceptional engineers in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
