We are StealthCo, an early-stage health tech company on a mission to redefine how care transitions work. By combining tech-enabled services with a focus on empathy and efficiency, we are building a platform that helps healthcare providers collaborate more seamlessly. We are currently looking for a Founding VP of Engineering to join our team and help us build our vision from the ground up.
What is this role?
This is a full-time, remote executive position. As our Founding VP of Engineering, you will be the primary technical leader for our organization. Because we are in the early stages, you will start as our sole engineering resource, meaning you will be responsible for both high-level architecture and hands-on coding. You will report directly to our CEO and help shape the future of our engineering department.
What will you do?
- Take the lead as our primary software architect, personally handling the coding and design of our core products.
- Define the long-term vision and strategy for our engineering department to ensure it supports our company goals and scales effectively.
- Build out our technical foundation by selecting the right tools, establishing our development environments, and managing the recruitment process as we grow the team.
What makes you a great fit?
We are looking for someone with 8 to 10 years of experience in software development, specifically someone who has successfully taken products from zero to one. You should be fluent in English and possess a deep understanding of backend systems, cloud infrastructure, and API integrations. It is a major plus if you have prior experience working with healthcare data systems like EMRs or adjudicated claims.
Beyond your technical skills, you should be:
- A Builder: You thrive in environments where you need to make decisions with limited information and take full ownership of your work.
- A Strategic Thinker: You can connect daily development tasks to our broader business objectives.
- A Strong Communicator: You can translate complex technical concepts for clinical partners, executive leadership, and providers alike.
- Results-Oriented: You are persistent, goal-driven, and focused on exceeding key performance indicators.
What's in it for you?
We offer a flexible work environment where you can perform your best work from anywhere in the continental United States. Our benefits include:
- The ability to work remotely.
