StealthCo is an early-stage health tech company on a mission to transform care transitions through a specialized, tech-enabled service model. We are focused on fostering better collaboration, empathy, and efficiency among healthcare providers. We are currently seeking a Founding VP of Engineering to join us in a full-time, remote capacity. As our first engineering leader, you will be the primary architect behind our platform, responsible for both the high-level technical strategy and the hands-on development required to bring our vision to life.
Responsibilities
- Act as the lead engineer and technical architect, taking direct responsibility for software design, coding, and the implementation of core system components.
- Define the long-term vision and strategy for our engineering department, ensuring our technical roadmap aligns with our broader business goals and healthcare compliance standards.
- Oversee the future growth of the engineering team by establishing effective recruitment processes and fostering a culture of professional development.
Requirements
- At least 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience in software development, with a proven history of taking products from zero to one in a greenfield environment.
- Deep technical expertise in backend systems, cloud infrastructure, and API integrations.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and manage recruitment.
- Experience with health data systems, such as EMRs or adjudicated claims, is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for clinical, executive, and product stakeholders.
