We are looking for a VP of Engineering to join our team in the United States. In this executive role, you will report directly to the President and oversee the design and development of aircraft corrosion repair solutions for our commercial and defense clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead the negotiation and management of multi-year, multi-million dollar government research and development contracts.
- Build and manage high-performing teams and subcontractors to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Oversee financial budgets in alignment with company objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Direct the research, development, and testing processes to ensure successful product commercialization.
- Guide the product development lifecycle, including evaluating designs for manufacturability and assessing process options.
- Formulate commercialization strategies, including recommendations on whether to make or outsource specific services.
- Manage the installation of new production cells and continuously evaluate current equipment and subcontractor capabilities.
- Perform root cause analysis to implement permanent countermeasures that improve quality and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with other executives to ensure organizational alignment regarding operational needs and process improvements.
- Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality management standards across all activities.
Must-haves
- Extensive experience in Engineering and Manufacturing leadership.
- Proven expertise in Contract Management and Project Management for large-scale initiatives.
- Strong background in Product Development and Budget Management.
- Demonstrated success in Process Improvement within a technical environment.
- Professional proficiency in English.
