Role at a glance
We are hiring a Vice President of Product on a full-time, on-site basis in the United States. This executive-level role reports to the Chief Technology Officer and oversees product strategy for Understood.org and the Wunder app.
Your impact
- Own the full product lifecycle for Understood.org and the Wunder app, from early research through launch and ongoing iteration, ensuring every release delivers measurable impact at scale.
- Lead the Product Management, Product Design, and Technical Program Management teams while partnering closely with engineering, analytics, research, marketing, and advancement to align product decisions with mission goals and go-to-market plans.
- Shape Understood’s long-term strategy and annual operating plans, using market research, user feedback, and data-driven insights to identify new opportunities and keep our roadmap focused on the needs of parents of neurodivergent children and neurodivergent adults.
What you'll need
You bring at least 15 years of experience in product and product leadership roles, including a strong track record of launching successful digital products with a user-centric approach. You have demonstrated technical fluency in software development processes, proven ability to build and mentor high-performing teams, and comfort working in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments. Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical skills, and clear communication across all organizational levels are essential. A commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging is required, and experience in mental health, wellness, or AI-driven products is a plus. All work is conducted in English.
Perks and compensation
The base salary range for this role is $250,000 to $300,000. We also offer remote work options, medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, a 401k plan, paid time off, professional development support, flexible hours, and equity compensation.
