Vice President of Engineering at Nutrafol

We are looking for a Vice President of Engineering to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. At Nutrafol, we are the pioneers of hair wellness, dedicated to helping people grow into the best versions of themselves through clinically tested products. We take a multi-factorial approach to hair health, supported by over 7,500 physicians, and we are constantly pushing the boundaries of hair science. In this executive role, you will report directly to our CTO and oversee our entire engineering department, including our backend, frontend, and mobile teams. You will be responsible for shaping our technical vision, driving innovation across our DTC and enterprise systems, and leading a high-performing organization that values reliable product delivery and customer-focused solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership by defining our engineering roadmap and ensuring our technical initiatives align with broader business goals.
• Manage and mentor a diverse, distributed team of engineers, technical project managers, and quality assurance professionals while fostering a culture of high performance and collaboration.
• Oversee the design and maintenance of our technology stack, including cloud infrastructure, data engineering, and the integration of AI and machine learning capabilities to support our growth.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Over 15 years of full-stack engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing large-scale eCommerce web and mobile applications.
• Extensive experience managing and scaling remote, distributed engineering teams.
• Deep technical expertise in cloud platforms like AWS, JavaScript, and modern software development frameworks, alongside a strong understanding of security management and data engineering.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects, such as CMS migrations, mobile app development, and ERP transitions, while communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel quarterly for team meetups at our NYC office.

What we offer
