We are looking for a motivated and results-oriented Vice President of Credit Risk & Analytics to join our team and help us continue to push the boundaries of what is possible while delivering value to our partners.
Key outcomes
- Design and refine our credit strategy across originations, renewals, and servicing to ensure our risk posture aligns with our growth goals.
- Manage the full lifecycle of credit and risk models, including development, validation, and ongoing monitoring to meet internal and regulatory standards.
- Lead portfolio analytics to identify early risk indicators and provide actionable insights that optimize our risk-adjusted returns.
- Direct our forecasting and stress testing efforts, presenting findings to senior leadership and risk committees.
- Analyze customer performance throughout the lifecycle to uncover patterns that support retention and cross-selling.
- Collaborate with our Credit and Underwriting teams to evolve decisioning frameworks and approval logic.
- Translate complex analytical findings into clear, executive-level presentations for stakeholders and auditors.
- Mentor and grow a high-performing team of data scientists and analysts while fostering an agile, outcomes-focused culture.
- Partner with Finance, Product, and Technology departments to integrate risk insights into our pricing and growth strategies.
- Advocate for improvements to our data infrastructure to support real-time decisioning and scalable model deployment.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in portfolio analytics or credit risk within the financial services sector, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
- A master’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or Finance.
- Extensive expertise in credit strategy, portfolio monitoring, and the development of risk models.
- Demonstrated success in leading stress testing and forecasting initiatives for executive audiences.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and other statistical analysis tools.
- A proven ability to turn complex data into effective business strategies and influence cross-functional teams.
- Strong knowledge of data governance and regulatory requirements related to model oversight.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple high-impact priorities.
- A leadership approach defined by critical thinking, adaptability, and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
