What is this role?

We are seeking a Vice President of Data Governance and Quality to join our team on a full-time, hybrid basis. This is a senior-level leadership position where you will play a hands-on role in architecting our data management ecosystem. You will be responsible for defining and implementing our data governance strategy, ensuring that our data systems are robust, secure, and aligned with the needs of our various business units.

What will you do?

• Partner with business stakeholders to govern and manage data at the source, acting as an approving authority to assess risks and impacts on downstream consumers.
• Design and manage comprehensive data warehousing governance solutions that ensure high-quality data is readily available for our retail, reinsurance, investment, and finance functions.
• Provide strategic thought leadership on advanced data processing techniques and collaborate with IT teams to integrate innovative data management technologies.

What makes you a great fit?

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in Data Governance and Data Quality within the insurance or financial services sectors. You bring extensive experience in data warehousing, ETL processes, MDM, and data modeling. We are looking for a leader who is proficient in SQL and Tableau, and who understands how to build and maintain governance metrics and risk controls. You should be comfortable working with frameworks like DCAM or DAMA and possess the communication skills necessary to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
