Are you looking to use your design skills to make a tangible difference in people's lives? At Marigold Health, we are a rapidly growing startup dedicated to transforming mental health and substance use recovery through innovative, app-based peer support. We partner with prestigious institutions like Johns Hopkins and Brown University to bring compassionate care to underserved communities, and we would love for you to help us shape the future of our platform.
What you bring
We are seeking a Senior UX/UI Designer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. You will play a pivotal role in crafting intuitive experiences for both our members and the peer supporters who guide them. Your work will directly influence how our community connects and heals, requiring a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on design expertise across our mobile and web platforms. You will be based anywhere, collaborating with a distributed team that values empathy and ambition.
- Lead the end-to-end design process, including user research, wireframing, and high-fidelity prototyping to solve complex user needs.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive design systems to ensure a consistent, accessible, and visually engaging brand identity.
- Partner closely with product managers and developers to iterate on features that drive member engagement and improve peer efficiency.
Requirements
The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in user-centered design and a deep commitment to inclusivity. You should have at least 5 years of experience in UX/UI design, specifically for mobile and web environments, supported by a portfolio that demonstrates your ability to translate research into impactful outcomes. Proficiency in industry-standard tools like Figma, Sketch, and the Adobe Creative Suite is essential. We value candidates who are well-versed in accessibility standards like WCAG and who can communicate design rationale clearly to cross-functional stakeholders. A degree in a relevant field such as Human-Computer Interaction or Graphic Design is preferred, though we welcome applicants with equivalent professional experience who share our passion for behavioral health.
What we offer
We are committed to supporting our team members with a comprehensive benefits package designed to provide security and peace of mind. You will be part of a mission-driven environment where your contributions have a direct impact on the recovery journeys of our members.
- Equity compensation to ensure you share in our collective success.
- Robust medical insurance with company-paid premiums for you and significant coverage for dependents.
- Access to a 401k plan to help you plan for your future.
- Generous paid time off, including 20 days of PTO, 9 days of sick time, and 10 total company holidays.
- The flexibility of a fully remote work environment.
How to Apply
If you are ready to apply your design talents to a mission that matters, we encourage you to reach out. Please submit your application, including your resume and a portfolio that highlights your best work, to start a conversation with our team. We look forward to learning more about your background and how you can help us move the needle on the systemic challenges we face in mental health care.
