UX Designer (South America) at Varsity Tutors

What is this role?

We are seeking a Mid-Level UX Designer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position based in Colombia. In this role, you will report to our Senior UX Manager and support the Varsity Tutors product team as we enhance our live online learning experiences for students and tutors alike. You will be a key contributor to our design process, working closely with cross-functional partners to bring our educational vision to life.

What will you do?

• Develop user-centered designs that effectively balance the needs of our users with business goals and technical requirements.
• Utilize Figma and Adobe Creative Suite to deliver high-quality design work, ranging from low-fidelity flows to polished, high-fidelity specifications.
• Collaborate consistently with product managers, engineers, and fellow designers to iterate on feedback and ensure the integrity of our design systems.

To be successful in this role, you should have a solid foundation in design and a collaborative spirit. We are looking for someone who possesses the following qualifications:

• At least 2 years of professional, full-time UX design experience.
• An undergraduate degree in design or a certification from a portfolio school.
• A strong portfolio that showcases your ability to solve complex product design problems.
• Proficiency in interaction design and a deep understanding of user-centered design processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• The ability to gracefully accept constructive feedback and work effectively within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
