What you'll be doing

• Lead the development of our backend services while maintaining the ability to work across our full stack as needed.
• Execute our ongoing migration of frontend systems to TypeScript and transition additional backend services to the same language.
• Manage and optimize our infrastructure, utilizing Kubernetes within GCP and GKE to ensure our systems remain scalable and reliable for our users.

What you'll bring

We are looking for a senior-level engineer who values simplicity and clean, testable code. To succeed in this role, you should possess the following:

• At least 5 years of industry experience building systems at scale.
• Proficiency with our core technology stack, including TypeScript, Java, Node, Postgres, and Kubernetes.
• A strong ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and a collaborative spirit that helps your peers grow.
• A practical mindset that balances the need for high-quality engineering with the necessity of shipping features efficiently.
• Fluency in English and a commitment to maintaining the high uptime and performance standards required for a consumer-facing healthcare product.
