Natera is looking for a senior Translational Medical Scientist to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. As a global leader in cell-free DNA testing, we focus on oncology, women’s health, and organ health to make personalized diagnostics a standard of care. Our mission is to enable earlier interventions that lead to healthier lives, and we are seeking a passionate scientist to help us advance our research strategies in cancer genomics.
Responsibilities
- Conduct genomic and clinical analyses to explore complex scientific questions related to oncology and early cancer detection.
- Partner with molecular biologists, statisticians, and computational experts to develop research strategies and communicate findings for publication in high-impact journals.
- Translate product requirements into technical specifications by working closely with clinicians, product managers, and key industry leaders.
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate who holds a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Genomics, Molecular Biology, Oncology, Genetics, or a related field. You should possess a deep scientific background in cancer biology and clinical oncology, along with a solid understanding of genomic sequencing analysis techniques. Proficiency in R is essential, specifically with packages such as ggplot2, data.table, and Bioconductor. You must also demonstrate strong skills in statistical analysis and data mining, coupled with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
