What is this role?
We are looking for a Senior Trading & Operations Software Engineer to join our team in Stamford, Connecticut. This is a full-time, on-site position based at our 600 Washington Boulevard office. You will be a key member of our Trading and Operations Development group, working alongside product managers, business users, and other senior engineers to build and maintain the core systems that power our trading, treasury, and operations activities.
What will you do?
- Design, build, and deploy .NET Core microservices to enhance our settlement, counterparty selection, and trading workflows.
- Manage and customize third-party trading systems by configuring features and integrating them with our internal software ecosystem.
- Partner directly with our Treasury, Operations, and Trading teams to deliver new functionality, troubleshoot issues, and ensure our users have a seamless experience.
What makes you a great fit?
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in software engineering and a passion for building high-quality systems. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- At least five years of experience developing software using an object-oriented language.
- Deep proficiency in C#, SQL Server, and modern web development practices.
- A commitment to writing clean, testable code supported by solid computer science fundamentals.
- Previous experience working within a financial services firm or a buy-side asset manager.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Angular for web application development is considered a plus.
