We are looking for a talented engineer to help us transition our offices into the future of cloud-based connectivity.
Role at a glance
We are seeking a Senior Telecom Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis at our headquarters in Houston, Texas. You will be the primary technical lead for our migration to RingCentral, ensuring our enterprise-wide VoIP network is robust, scalable, and highly available.
Your impact
- Lead the architectural design and migration of our offices from legacy POTS and PBX systems to the RingCentral cloud platform.
- Maintain network resilience by providing top-tier support for our multi-region VoIP infrastructure and troubleshooting telephony issues.
- Evaluate emerging voice and video technologies to enhance our product features while managing your own projects and presenting updates to key stakeholders.
What you'll need
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in VoIP engineering, specifically with RingCentral or similar cloud-based communication platforms.
- Deep technical knowledge of SIP, RTP, QoS, SBCs, and standard VoIP troubleshooting methodologies.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, BGP, and SD-WAN.
- Proven ability to manage number porting, call routing, IVR, and auto-attendant configurations.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to developing clear technical documentation and training for system operations.
- Fluency in English.
Perks and compensation
