We are looking for a Technical Director to lead the engineering efforts for our upcoming AAA action-adventure console game. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our studio culture and establishing the foundational infrastructure needed to scale our development team for full production.
Responsibilities
- Create Technical Design Documents that translate our high-level vision into actionable technical requirements.
- Build and manage a high-performing engineering team through active recruitment and hiring.
- Partner with IT managers and external vendors to establish robust infrastructure.
- Design and implement our core software development environment.
- Collaborate with the Game, Animation, and Art Directors to align technical goals with the overall creative vision.
- Provide hands-on problem solving support across all areas of software engineering.
- Foster a culture of open communication where feedback is welcomed from all team members regardless of seniority.
- Guide the engineering team to meet project milestones and maintain a realistic production schedule.
Must-haves
- Extensive experience in Game Development and software engineering at a leadership level.
- Strong background in Technical Design and infrastructure planning.
- Proven ability to recruit and mentor technical talent.
- Exceptional problem solving skills and the ability to manage complex technical challenges.
- Fluency in English.
- Ability to work on-site in the United States.
