Advanced Navigation is a global leader in AI robotics and navigation technology, driving the autonomy revolution across land, air, sea, and space. We partner with industry giants like NASA, Tesla, and Boeing to push the boundaries of artificial intelligence, sonar, and quantum sensing, and we are looking for a Technical Writer to join our team in Australia.
Responsibilities
- Lead the vision for user documentation throughout the entire customer lifecycle.
- Take full ownership of our content strategy and information architecture.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible language.
- Apply design thinking to create a blend of traditional and web-based user content.
- Develop comprehensive application notes, user guides, and knowledge base articles for our diverse product range.
- Collaborate closely with R&D, engineering, sales, marketing, and support teams.
Must-haves
- At least 3 years of experience in technical writing for hardware or software products.
- A background in engineering from a higher education institution.
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in a technical or engineering-focused role.
- Proven ability to build and improve information architecture and documentation strategies.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- A sharp eye for detail and the ability to build strong rapport with engineering teams.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working with navigation, robotics, or survey systems in commercial or defence sectors.
- A track record of managing documentation for both hardware and software.
- Proficiency with Confluence, Jira, and the Madcap Flare help authoring tool.
- A collaborative mindset and a genuine passion for continuous learning and professional growth.
