We’re building the documentation that powers how thousands of data teams work every day. If you’re excited to learn the craft of technical writing while helping a fast-moving product company grow, this role puts you right in the middle of it.
Role at a glance
Technical Writer, Product Documentation is a full-time, junior-level position. The role is fully remote and open to candidates anywhere.
Your impact
- Shadow senior writers to create clear, comprehensive documentation plans for new product features and learn how to gather the right information quickly.
- Support ongoing documentation projects by managing your time effectively, spotting inconsistencies, and raising questions that improve clarity for users.
- Troubleshoot documentation issues and requests with guidance from teammates, pulling in the right product managers or developer-experience advocates when needed.
What you'll need
One to three years of experience writing technical documentation, either on a formal documentation team or within another function. You can plan and deliver small projects with strong attention to detail, give and receive feedback constructively, and communicate clearly whether working asynchronously or with a distributed team. Experience with dbt or data tools, prior collaboration with other writers and editors, and comfort working fully remote are all advantages. Contributing to or maintaining an open-source project is a plus.
Perks and compensation
We offer a salary range of $94,000 - $107,000 USD along with an equity stake. Additional benefits include unlimited vacation, a 401k with 3% guaranteed contribution, excellent healthcare, paid parental leave, a wellness stipend, and a home office stipend. Employees outside the United States receive a competitive benefits package, with equity or comparable benefits offered where legally required.
