About the Role
We are seeking a Technical Writer II to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a mid-level role where you will play a vital part in our product management organization. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality documentation that empowers our users and internal teams. Please note that this is an in-person position based at our headquarters in Santa Clara, and we are not accepting remote applications for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the entire documentation lifecycle by establishing and maintaining best practices and standardized procedures.
- Collaborate with product managers and technical staff to gather and manage complex product information, ensuring all content aligns with our release schedules.
- Develop a wide range of materials including user guides, tutorials, and API documentation while incorporating visual aids like diagrams, videos, and screenshots to enhance the user experience.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- At least 3 years of professional experience as a technical writer within a SaaS environment.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Journalism, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and the Salesforce platform.
- A solid understanding of software development lifecycles and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and editing skills, with a preference for candidates who have experience integrating graphics or video into their technical content.
- Authorization to work in the United States, as we are currently unable to provide visa sponsorship.
