We are looking for a Technical Team Leader to join our team in a full-time capacity. Wunderflats is the market leader in Germany for mid-term furnished housing, helping people find flexible living solutions since 2015. With over 40,000 apartments across Europe and a growing team of 180 professionals, we are scaling our technology platform to meet the needs of our users. In this hybrid role based in our Berlin office, you will lead a talented group of engineers, providing both technical guidance and line management while collaborating closely with our product, design, and data departments.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discussions and mentor your team to ensure the delivery of high-quality, elegant software solutions.
• Serve as a key technical reference point, identifying opportunities to improve our systems as we scale our organization.

Requirements

We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in software engineering and leadership. You should hold a Bachelor’s or post-graduate degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, and possess a proven track record in a senior engineering or team lead role.

Key qualifications and skills include:

• Over 8 years of experience in software development for complex, critical projects.
• Deep expertise in NodeJS, TypeScript, MongoDB, and React, with familiarity in GCP and Kubernetes being a plus.
• Strong knowledge of clean coding principles, design patterns, and scalable distributed systems.
• A solid understanding of the full software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster a positive, high-performing team culture.
