The role
We are seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to join our team in Canada on a full-time, on-site basis. In this role, you will oversee the schedule and resources for our orchestration software, Weave, as well as the suite of applications used by our system operators, Workshop. You will report to the VP of Product Management and collaborate across departments including Mechatronics, System Test, Manufacturing, and Deployment to drive strategic initiatives and ensure our technology reaches its full potential.
Core responsibilities
- Take full accountability for project schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and quality standards across the software development lifecycle.
- Partner with Product Management and Engineering teams to refine requirements, manage the backlog, and develop high-fidelity estimates for our system roadmap.
- Standardize how our program teams monitor and control the planning, execution, and closing phases of projects by effectively blending Agile, Waterfall, and V-cycle methodologies.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this position, you should possess a strong technical background and a collaborative spirit. We require the following qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in software program management, ideally bringing emerging hardware and software products through their full lifecycle.
- A solid command of Agile methodologies, with CSM certification or active progress toward it, alongside an understanding of Waterfall and V-cycle frameworks.
- Proven analytical abilities using tools such as PowerBI and Tableau.
- Experience with User Experience design, particularly within the Microsoft Windows environment.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, with a PMP designation preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage scope, risk, and cross-functional dependencies.
