At Kargo, we are working to bridge the gap between the physical world of freight and the digital systems that keep global logistics moving. We believe that smart infrastructure is the key to a safer, more efficient future. Our loading dock sensor platform provides real-time visibility into freight movement, allowing shippers and carriers to optimize their operations and understand material flow with precision. By joining our team, you will help us deploy hardware and software solutions that are actively revolutionizing the logistics industry.
The opportunity
We are looking for a Technical Program Manager to join our hardware team on a full-time, on-site basis in the United States. In this role, you will serve as the connective force behind our product development efforts. You will guide our hardware programs from the initial requirements phase through validation, certification, and final ramp-up. You will be a vital partner to our leadership team, ensuring that our engineering goals align with our broader business objectives while maintaining a high standard of quality and efficiency.
A day in the life
- You will oversee the entire product development lifecycle, managing project meetings and keeping our CEO informed about schedule risks and key milestones.
- You will collaborate cross-functionally with our electrical, mechanical, software, manufacturing, and operations teams to track design packages, coordinate deliverables, and ensure build plans are executed successfully.
- You will proactively identify and resolve potential roadblocks, managing unit allocations and working closely with suppliers to keep our development process lean and effective.
Who you are
You are a mid-level professional with 3 to 5 years of experience in program management specifically focused on hardware system development. You hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline. You thrive in fast-paced startup environments where you can balance low-volume prototyping with long-term scaling plans. Your technical background includes working with PCBAs, mechanical assemblies, and optical components, and you are comfortable managing complex relationships with both local and overseas vendors. You communicate effectively with executive leadership and have a proven ability to remain flexible when priorities shift.
Why you'll love it here
We are deeply committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace where every team member can thrive. As an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer, we welcome applicants from all backgrounds. You will have the chance to work on cutting-edge hardware that makes a tangible impact on the logistics sector, all while collaborating with a team that values transparency, efficiency, and innovation.
