Technical Product Manager at neptune.ai

We are looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager to join our team and help shape the future of our AI research tools. Our organization focuses on building sophisticated infrastructure for data scientists and researchers, and this role is central to bridging the gap between complex user needs and high-impact engineering solutions. You will work within a highly collaborative environment, utilizing a modern tech stack that includes Rust, Python, Kubernetes, and Terraform, while engaging with the latest advancements in the MLOps space.

Key outcomes

• Consult directly with AI and machine learning researchers to map out their workflows and identify critical pain points.
• Transform domain-specific requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications for our engineering and design teams.
• Own the product roadmap from initial concept through to final delivery, ensuring a balance between innovation and user needs.
• Partner with UX designers to ensure our interfaces remain intuitive and polished despite the technical complexity of our tools.
• Facilitate alignment across the organization by discussing technical feasibility with the CTO, engineering leads, and design heads.
• Monitor the competitive landscape to prioritize features that maintain our market edge.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to ensure all teams are aligned on product solutions and development timelines.

Requirements

• Deep domain knowledge in AI and ML, including familiarity with model training, testing, and current trends like reinforcement learning.
• Proven experience working directly with data scientists or within research-heavy environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of translating complex challenges into successful product features.
• Exceptional communication skills, allowing you to bridge the gap between technical experts and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience collaborating with engineering and UX teams to deliver user-centric products.
• The ability to influence and lead initiatives across teams without relying on direct authority.
• Proficiency in English.

Preferred qualifications

• Practical experience with Python programming.
• Familiarity with gRPC and infrastructure tools like Kubernetes and Terraform.
