We are powering the realtime revolution by providing the infrastructure that allows millions of devices to communicate seamlessly. As we continue to scale our platform for major organizations, we are looking for a Technical Lead to shape the future of our developer experience.
Responsibilities
- Co-own the vision and strategy for our developer-facing tools, including our dashboard, documentation platform, and control plane.
- Lead a team of five engineers, fostering a product-first culture where the team takes full ownership of the features they build.
- Partner with product management to iterate rapidly and ship high-quality improvements to our web applications and billing interfaces.
- Champion the use of AI tools and LLMs to accelerate development velocity while maintaining high engineering standards.
- Mentor team members, manage career development, and guide the team through complex technical decisions and incident responses.
- Ensure the long-term health of our codebase through rigorous code reviews, testing, and production readiness.
Must-haves
- Deep empathy for developer users, with a passion for building tools that improve the developer journey.
- Proven track record leading engineering teams within B2B SaaS or API-first environments.
- Strong full-stack technical background, including expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript.
- Backend experience with Ruby on Rails or Node.js.
- Fluency in API design and a commitment to high-quality documentation.
- An AI-first mindset, with the ability to integrate AI tools into the development workflow effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile startup environment.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience delivering solutions specifically for software developers or technical personas.
- Familiarity with pub/sub, distributed systems, and event-based architectures.
