We are excited to invite you to join our team as a Technical Document Specialist. In this role, you will play a vital part in bridging the gap between complex engineering concepts and clear, actionable information. By partnering directly with our Engineering Manager, you will help us maintain the high standards of our system architecture and technical requirements. We operate in a hybrid environment, and you will have the opportunity to collaborate with your colleagues at our Houston office in the Galleria area one to two days each week.
What you'll be doing
- You will develop and manage comprehensive documentation for our system architectures, technical requirements, and user guides to ensure our projects remain well-aligned.
- You will work closely with our engineering and product teams to capture intricate technical details and translate them into accurate, accessible records.
- You will design and maintain clear visual representations of our workflows and system architectures using Lucidchart.
What you'll bring
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Technical Writing, or a related field.
- You have at least two years of professional experience in technical writing, preferably within a software development or engineering setting.
- You are proficient in Lucidchart and have a solid understanding of cloud technologies, database systems, and the software development lifecycle.
- You possess strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail, allowing you to manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously.
- You are a clear communicator in English who thrives in collaborative, cross-functional team environments.
What you'll get
The salary range for this full-time position is $60,000 to $80,000 USD. In addition to your compensation, you will enjoy the following benefit:
