About the Role
We are seeking a Technical Director to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis. In this leadership position, you will report directly to our CTO and work closely with our engineering management team. Your primary focus will be building and nurturing our engineering department, facilitating seamless communication across teams, and contributing to high-level technical product ownership to ensure our vision for Seed becomes a reality.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the CTO to expand our engineering team while fostering a culture of excellence and mentorship.
- Drive technical initiatives and refine engineering practices by working closely with senior staff and stakeholders to manage backlogs, priorities, and technical strategy.
- Improve overall team productivity and health by identifying bottlenecks, resolving interpersonal tensions, and facilitating lean, effective processes.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong background in the games industry and a deep understanding of technical management. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- Proven experience in a management role with a focus on team dynamics and professional growth.
- Expertise in Agile methodologies and modern development practices such as CI, TDD, and CD.
- Strong capacity for technical strategy, team planning, and product ownership.
- Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to provide candid feedback and navigate difficult conversations.
- A commitment to mentoring others and building a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture.
Location
This position is based on-site in Spain and Germany.
