We're looking for a senior technical writer who can turn intricate data engineering and cloud architecture into content that earns trust, drives rankings, and fuels real enterprise conversations. At Mactores, you'll shape how the industry understands modern data platforms.
Role at a glance
This full-time senior position is fully remote and open to candidates anywhere. You'll focus on creating high-level technical content for cloud and data engineering audiences, working across AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, and Azure.
Your impact
- Research and publish L300 and L400 technical blogs, whitepapers, case studies, and solution briefs that explain complex topics such as data lakehouse architecture, real-time pipelines, and cloud-native migrations.
- Partner with solution architects and data engineers to validate technical accuracy while applying AI tools to speed up research, drafting, and editing without replacing your expertise.
- Own SEO strategy from keyword research through on-page optimization, using tools like Ahrefs and Google Search Console to improve discoverability and track performance metrics.
What you'll need
You bring at least three years of experience writing technical content in cloud, data engineering, or analytics. You're comfortable producing deep-dive material on topics like Apache Iceberg, Spark optimization, and platform migrations with minimal guidance. Hands-on familiarity with at least two of AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, or Azure is essential, along with strong SEO fundamentals and proven use of AI writing tools. Excellent written English, experience with a CMS platform, and a portfolio of published technical work round out the profile. Working knowledge of open-source data technologies such as Apache Spark or Apache Iceberg is a plus, as are relevant cloud certifications.
