At GoodShip, we are transforming the way the freight industry operates through our all-in-one platform for procurement and orchestration. As we continue to scale our software, which helps shippers optimize their truckload spend and improve collaboration, we are looking for a dedicated Talent & People Lead to join our team. We are backed by top-tier venture firms and have been recognized as a leader in the FreightTech space, and we need your expertise to help us build a high-performing organization from the ground up.
What you'll be doing
- You will manage the entire recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and engaging top-tier candidates across engineering, product, and go-to-market teams to ensuring an inclusive and seamless hiring experience.
- You will establish our foundational people operations, including designing scalable systems for onboarding, performance management, and compensation, while fostering a culture of engagement and inclusivity.
- You will oversee our physical office environment in Seattle, coordinating logistics, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring our hybrid workspace remains a welcoming and productive hub for our team.
What you'll bring
We are looking for a leader who has a strong background in both recruiting and people operations, ideally within the fast-paced environment of an early-stage, venture-backed SaaS company. You should have at least four years of experience in these areas and be comfortable navigating various HR systems and applicant tracking software. Because this is a hybrid role based in Seattle, you must be local and ready to spend regular time in our office. You should be fluent in English and possess the ability to communicate effectively with everyone from individual contributors to executive leadership. Most importantly, you bring a hands-on, empathetic approach to building teams and a desire to create processes that will define our company culture for years to come.
