We are looking for a passionate leader to join our London team as a Talent Director. For over 40 years, IDEO has partnered with clients in sectors ranging from healthcare to education, and we invite you to help us continue creating human-centered impact as part of our dedicated community.
What you bring
In this contractor role, you will serve as a strategic leader for our London Hub, which comprises over 40 employees. You will be responsible for guiding our talent function through a 12-month maternity cover starting in December 2024. This hybrid position requires you to be based in the United Kingdom, with an expectation of working on-site in London 2 to 3 days per week. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Leading and mentoring our London Talent Team to ensure our people strategies align with our broader business objectives.
- Managing comprehensive HR services, including performance management, leadership development, and organizational culture initiatives.
- Partnering with business leaders to provide expert coaching on employee relations, organizational design, and talent management.
Requirements
We are searching for a candidate with at least 10 years of relevant HR experience within the UK market, including a minimum of 1 to 2 years in a people management capacity. You should hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a field such as business, organizational development, or HR management, and a CIPD or SHRM accreditation is preferred. We value candidates who possess strong business acumen and the ability to foster trust through clear communication. You must demonstrate sound judgment when handling confidential matters and have a proven track record of optimizing talent programs in multicultural environments. Please note that you must have the unrestricted right to work in the UK, as we cannot offer sponsorship, and we are looking for someone who can begin their tenure in December 2024.

We believe in fostering a balanced work-life approach and supporting your professional journey through meaningful collaboration. Our benefits package includes the following:
- Hybrid work arrangements to provide flexibility.
- Flexible hours to help you manage your schedule.
- Professional development opportunities to help you hone your leadership and design expertise.
