Are you ready to use your technical expertise to support a vibrant community dedicated to academic excellence and purpose-driven learning? At Riverdale Country School, a Pre-K through Grade 12 independent school in New York City, we foster a culture of curiosity and inclusion for our 1,300 students. We are looking for a collaborative and self-motivated professional to join our technology team and help us maintain the systems that power our mission.
What you bring
As a Mid-Level Systems Administrator, you will serve in a full-time, on-site capacity based in the United States. You will report to the Associate Director of Operational Technology, working to ensure our infrastructure remains robust and efficient. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with our managed services provider to oversee VMWare, SAN environments, Windows and Linux server operating systems, and backup solutions.
- Managing the full user account lifecycle and handling essential services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and SSO connections.
- Maintaining our security suite, printing infrastructure, and various licensing servers to keep our campus operations running smoothly.
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate who combines technical proficiency with a student-centered approach. You should have at least two years of experience managing enterprise or educational systems. We value technical skills in PowerShell scripting for automation, as well as hands-on experience with Windows Server environments. You must possess strong project management and analytical abilities, along with the patience and interpersonal skills necessary to support our school community. While not required, the ability to communicate in both English and Spanish is considered a significant asset. We prioritize candidates who are eager to learn and stay current with emerging technologies.
What we offer
We are committed to supporting our staff through a comprehensive benefits package designed to promote both professional and personal well-being. Our offerings include:
- Professional development opportunities and a generous budget for conferences and training.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans.
- A 401k retirement plan with a school contribution of 7% of your annual salary.
- Generous paid time off that aligns with the school calendar.
