At FORT, we are building the future of autonomous mobile robots by solving the most complex and dangerous challenges in the industry. Founded in 2018 by Samuel Reeves, our company emerged from a decade of work in landmine clearance robotics. We recognized that while robotics were advancing rapidly, the secure communications infrastructure required to keep machines safe in fields like construction, agriculture, and warehousing simply did not exist. Today, we provide a first-of-its-kind Robotics Control Platform that ensures machines cause no harm, allowing humans and robots to work side by side with confidence. We are looking for a dedicated leader to join us as our System Integration and Test Lead and help us maintain the highest standards of safety and security.
What you'll be doing
- You will lead and mentor a high-performing quality assurance team, fostering a culture of accountability while guiding their professional growth and technical skill development.
- You will take a hands-on approach to validating our product portfolio, which integrates hardware, software, and cloud applications, by executing end-to-end system tests and developing robust automation frameworks.
- You will collaborate closely with our internal design teams and external manufacturing partners to identify, debug, and resolve firmware and electrical hardware issues to ensure successful product releases.
What you'll bring
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in engineering and a passion for robotics. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- Five to eight years of experience designing and implementing both manual and automated tests for complex embedded products.
- At least three years of technical leadership experience, specifically in mentoring and developing engineering teams.
- Advanced proficiency in Python and experience with modern cloud continuous integration pipelines.
- Strong skills in debugging hardware and software using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and meters.
- A deep understanding of embedded systems, cyber security principles, and networking technologies like Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and LTE.
- Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to work effectively in an agile environment.
- A degree in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or a related field is preferred.
What you'll get
We offer a collaborative environment where you can make a tangible impact on the safety of autonomous technology. As part of our team, you will receive:
- Competitive stock options.
- The opportunity to work on cutting-edge robotics technology in a fast-paced, innovative setting.
- Professional development through mentorship and leadership opportunities.
