At TALPA, we are dedicated to transforming the industrial landscape through advanced analytics. We help sectors like mining, logistics, and construction optimize equipment performance by turning complex historical and real-time data into clear, actionable insights. We are currently seeking a System Architect and Technical Lead for a full-time, on-site role in Germany to help guide the future of our platform architecture. In this position, you will bridge the gap between technical execution and business strategy, ensuring our systems remain scalable, robust, and aligned with our long-term goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor component architects and developers to maintain a cohesive and consistent system architecture across the entire platform.
- Translate evolving business and customer requirements into concrete architectural plans while managing our technology roadmap.
- Facilitate collaboration among diverse stakeholders to reach consensus on technical decisions, balancing innovation with the need to resolve technical debt.
Requirements
We are looking for a leader with a strong methodological background in system design and a passion for building software-driven environments. You should have a proven ability to manage requirements, create system models, and communicate complex concepts to cross-functional teams. Your technical expertise should include:
- Deep knowledge of architectural patterns, including microservices, event-driven systems, and layered architectures.
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, such as AWS, alongside containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in managing data systems, including SQL, NoSQL, and various data pipeline technologies.
- A solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure development practices.
- Strong facilitation skills to drive objective decision-making and knowledge sharing across engineering teams.
What we offer
We believe in fostering a culture of empathy, accountability, and exploration. When you join us, you gain access to a supportive environment designed to help you thrive both professionally and personally:
- Unlimited vacation policy and flexible working hours to help you maintain a healthy work-life balance.
- A dedicated learning budget of €1200 per year to support your professional development and attendance at conferences.
- Access to a fully-equipped, 24/7 in-house gym and free food and drinks in our office.
- Comprehensive support for those moving to the area, including relocation assistance.
- The freedom to choose your own hardware and operating system to ensure you work in the way that suits you best.
