About the Role
This is a full-time, on-site position based at our prominent research facility in San Diego. As a principal-level statistician, you will play a vital role in the entire lifecycle of our clinical data. You will be responsible for the design, execution, and interpretation of data evidence while ensuring our statistical practices meet both regulatory standards and internal business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply advanced statistical methodologies to create comprehensive reports regarding disease, scientific, or business insights.
- Lead statistical studies by overseeing experimental design, modeling, analysis planning, and the clear communication of results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, external partners, and CROs to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality, timely reports for our clinical trials.
Requirements
- A Ph.D. in Statistics is strongly preferred, though we will consider candidates with an MS in Statistics who possess extensive experience in drug development research.
- At least 3 years of professional experience specifically within drug development statistical research.
- Proficiency in SAS or R and other relevant computational tools is required.
- Strong expertise in planning, running, and documenting simulations, particularly for clinical trials.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex statistical concepts to non-statisticians.
- A proven track record of working effectively in a matrix organization, both as an independent contributor and as a collaborative team leader.
