This full-time Staff Software Engineer position targets senior-level engineers and is fully remote, with teammates located across France and Europe.
Your impact
- Design and deliver scalable, high-performance backend services in Rust that power investment, crypto, and life insurance products for more than 800,000 users.
- Drive architecture decisions, set engineering standards, and align technical choices with business goals across multiple product squads.
- Lead complex initiatives from initial design through rollout and long-term maintenance while mentoring engineers and strengthening team practices.
What you'll need
Strong production experience with Rust, including its memory safety and concurrency features, is essential. You bring deep PostgreSQL knowledge and hands-on work with message queues to build resilient, async systems. You have designed distributed systems and APIs that meet high reliability standards, and you can diagnose intricate problems while balancing technical trade-offs with business priorities. Clear communication, humility, and a genuine interest in helping teammates grow round out the profile. Written and spoken English fluency is required.
Perks and compensation
This role is positioned at Level 4, with a salary range of €80-110K. You will join a squad of 10 Rust engineers and receive ownership of technical decisions from day one. The team meets in Paris six times a year for focused in-person weeks, with travel and accommodation fully covered. You will work alongside high-caliber colleagues in an environment built for rapid iteration, continuous feedback, and meaningful impact on users' financial lives.
