We are currently looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. At Temporal, we provide an open source programming model designed to simplify code and improve application reliability, allowing developers to focus on delivering features more efficiently. Our work is supported by top venture capital firms, and we pride ourselves on a collaborative culture that brings together talent from various successful startups and technology companies. As we continue to grow, we are focused on enhancing our commercial SaaS platform and supporting our vibrant developer community.

Responsibilities

Design and implement core backend service features while maintaining the integrity and scalability of our distributed systems.
Ensure high operational standards by creating comprehensive test coverage, detailed documentation, and effective monitoring tools like logs, metrics, and dashboards.
Collaborate with your team to build and maintain critical components such as quotas, throttling, and task processing for our enterprise offerings.

Requirements

Significant experience designing and operating large-scale, highly concurrent distributed systems.
A strong focus on system reliability and a proven ability to improve team velocity through thoughtful engineering.
Proficiency in Go is highly preferred, as is experience working within complex infrastructure environments.
A passion for open source software and a desire to contribute to a growing, collaborative team.

What we offer
