What you bring

As a Staff Software Engineer working in a full-time capacity, you will serve as a technical leader within our engineering organization. You will be instrumental in bridging the gap between our data-intensive backend systems and our customer-facing products. This role is based in the United Kingdom and operates on a hybrid model, allowing you to balance remote work with time in our London office. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Providing high-level technical leadership and collaborating with our VP of Engineering to define and execute our platform strategy.
• Designing and implementing robust, data-intensive backend solutions while ensuring seamless synchronization with our GraphQL API layer.
• Mentoring team members and fostering a culture of technical excellence through shared knowledge and consistent engineering practices.

Requirements

We are looking for a senior-level engineer who is comfortable working across the entire stack. You should possess deep expertise in Python for backend development and be highly proficient in building modern interfaces using React, Next.js, TypeScript, and GraphQL. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, early-stage environments and brings a genuine passion for solving complex technical challenges. Strong communication skills in English are essential, as is a deep commitment to climate action and the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse, cross-functional teams.
