What is this role?
We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join us in a full-time, hybrid capacity. This is a lead-level position based in the United States, and you will be expected to work from our headquarters in Quincy, Massachusetts, two days per week. We are looking for an experienced professional with at least ten years of software engineering expertise to help us drive our technical initiatives forward.
What will you do?
- Take technical ownership of our mission-critical services and applications while working within an agile team environment.
- Lead cross-functional projects by collaborating with product managers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to design and implement elegant technical solutions.
- Oversee the planning and execution of system maintenance, platform enhancements, and the resolution of complex technical challenges from architecture to production.
What makes you a great fit?
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in object-oriented programming and system design. We are looking for someone who meets the following criteria:
- A minimum of 10 years of professional software engineering experience, with at least an associate degree.
- Deep expertise in Java and SQL for relational database management.
- Recent experience with front-end development, specifically JavaScript, TypeScript, and AngularJS.
- Practical knowledge of AWS environments, REST APIs, and automated testing frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to mentor junior team members.
