About the Role

We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our backend team on a full-time basis. In this executive-level position, you will work closely with our engineering team to architect, maintain, and scale our SaaS platform. You will lead critical backend initiatives, mentor fellow developers, and collaborate with product managers and designers to deliver high-quality, scalable web applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and scale our SaaS platform while taking full ownership of your projects from initial definition through to production deployment.
• Lead technical decision-making for backend projects and establish engineering best practices across the team.
• Provide mentorship and architectural guidance to both senior and early-career engineers to support their professional growth.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• Over 10 years of experience in backend engineering, specifically with web applications and distributed systems.
• At least 5 years of experience working with Postgres and Redis.
• At least 5 years of experience utilizing major cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• A strong background in asynchronous Python, with a preference for additional experience in systems languages like Go, C++, or Rust.
• Extensive experience managing data-intensive applications at scale and a drive to integrate AI and LLMs to optimize engineering workflows.

Location

This position is remote and can be performed from anywhere.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this position is $189,000 to $243,000 USD. In addition to your salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support you wherever you live:
