Staff Software Engineer at Verifiable

Behind every automated workflow sits a modern .NET stack running on serverless AWS infrastructure, and we are looking for the next technical leader who will help us scale it even further.

The opportunity

As our new Staff Software Engineer, you will guide the direction of the core API that both our customers and our own interfaces rely on. You will shape how new capabilities are planned, built, and maintained while ensuring the system stays reliable for the thousands of daily requests that flow through it. In short, you will turn ambitious product ideas into production-grade services that keep healthcare providers and payers moving smoothly.

A day in the life

• Partnering with product leads to translate requirements into clear technical designs, then driving the implementation from first commit to production release.
• Reviewing pull requests, mentoring teammates on maintainability and security, and spotting architectural bottlenecks before they become urgent problems.
• Collaborating across engineering teams to break large initiatives into manageable milestones while continuously evolving our services for greater scale and resilience.

Who you are

You bring at least ten years of hands-on experience building and scaling web or SaaS products, along with a track record of providing technical direction to other engineers. You are fluent in C# and the modern .NET ecosystem, comfortable designing and operating high-traffic RESTful or GraphQL APIs, and skilled with relational databases such as MySQL, Postgres, or similar. You have worked in high-availability environments where monitoring, alerting, and iterative delivery are second nature. Familiarity with AWS services, Docker, or Kubernetes is a plus, but your real strength lies in balancing long-term code quality with the realities of fast-moving business needs. You communicate clearly, stay curious about new tools, and take genuine satisfaction in raising the bar for everyone around you.
