We are currently seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our team, which focuses on building the foundational services for our enterprise platform. Our mission is to provide internal engineering teams with robust solutions for authentication, authorization, and auditing, enabling them to scale efficiently while focusing on their core business goals.

• Define and lead the technical strategy for our platform solutions.
• Identify and address strategic needs across the team and the broader organization.
• Design and execute high-impact technical projects.
• Work closely with product and engineering leaders to translate ambiguous initiatives into clear technical deliverables.
• Collaborate across teams to enhance our existing products and services.
• Promote and advocate for engineering best practices throughout the company.
• Act as a mentor and role model to foster a culture of professional growth and collaboration.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of professional software engineering experience, specifically in building scalable backend solutions using languages such as TypeScript, Python, Java, Go, or Scala.
• Proven experience leading initiatives within a platform-focused organization where other engineers are your primary customers.
• Strong knowledge of access control patterns, including RBAC and ABAC.
• Expertise in working with both relational and non-relational databases like Postgres, Elasticsearch, and Redis.
• Deep understanding of secure design and implementation for RESTful APIs.
• Experience integrating identity solutions such as OAuth2, OIDC, and SAML.
• Proficiency in modern cloud environments, particularly AWS.
• Practical experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with Open Policy Agent or Keycloak.
• Front-end development experience using frameworks like React or Vue.
• Background in healthcare technology, specifically with FHIR standards.
• Hands-on experience managing CI/CD pipelines.
