The role

We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a senior-level position that requires a hybrid work arrangement, with at least one day per week spent in our San Francisco office. You will be instrumental in pushing the boundaries of healthtech by applying state-of-the-art AI to solve complex, real-world challenges.

Core responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of our next-generation LLM-powered platform, making high-level architectural decisions that define our product trajectory.
• Collaborate with medical subject matter experts to prototype and deploy innovative LLM architectures and techniques.
• Build and maintain high-performance, distributed systems capable of delivering real-time clinical insights to thousands of healthcare providers.

Skills and experience

To succeed in this role, you should possess a strong technical background and a passion for AI-driven solutions. We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:

• Proven technical leadership in developing complex, scalable systems within high-growth environments.
• Direct experience building applications powered by Large Language Models, including a deep understanding of prompt engineering, few-shot learning, and efficient inference.
• A high level of comfort working across the stack and a willingness to learn new technologies to ship products effectively.
• An ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and a genuine interest in working directly with clinicians to solve healthcare problems.
• Fluency in English.
