About the Role
We are searching for a Staff Software Engineer to join our Serving Platform team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be instrumental in building the services that power our enterprise platform. Your primary mission is to provide our internal engineering teams with reliable solutions for authentication, authorization, and auditing, enabling them to scale their work and focus on delivering core business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the technical direction for our platform solutions while identifying strategic needs across the organization.
- Design and execute high-impact projects by partnering with product and engineering leads to turn complex, ambiguous goals into clear technical deliverables.
- Act as a mentor and role model for engineers across the company to cultivate a culture of growth, collaboration, and engineering excellence.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications and expertise:
- Over 8 years of experience in software engineering, specifically building performant and scalable backend systems using languages like TypeScript, Python, Java, Go, or Scala.
- A proven track record of leading initiatives within platform organizations where your primary customers were other engineering teams.
- Deep knowledge of access control patterns such as RBAC and ABAC, as well as expertise in designing secure RESTful APIs.
- Strong proficiency with databases including Postgres, Elasticsearch, and Redis.
- Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes in modern cloud environments, alongside familiarity with OAuth2, OIDC, and SAML integrations.
Location
This position is fully remote and can be performed from anywhere.
