The opportunity

We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to take the lead on our new Scenario Modeling product. This is a foundational role where you will own the design and development of a system meant to replace legacy spreadsheet workflows with a modern, intuitive platform for forecasting and analysis. You will blend high-level architectural strategy with hands-on engineering, guiding the product from its initial concept to a world-class solution that empowers our users.

A day in the life

• Build: You will design and implement the core Scenario Modeling engine, focusing on robust projection frameworks, workflow orchestration, and high-performance data processing pipelines.
• Lead: As the technical lead for the team, you will shape our long-term roadmap, mentor fellow engineers, and establish scalable practices that define our engineering culture.
• Partner: You will collaborate directly with domain experts to translate complex financial requirements into elegant, user-centric software tools.

Who you are

You are a seasoned engineer with over seven years of experience shipping complex products, particularly those involving high-volume data processing in near real-time. You possess a strategic mindset that allows you to balance long-term architectural goals with the immediate needs of our users. You are comfortable working with a diverse tech stack, including Python and Django for backend systems, Postgres for data storage, and AWS for cloud infrastructure. Experience with TypeScript and React is a plus, as is a background in early-stage startups where you have worn many hats. You communicate clearly in English and thrive in environments that value collaboration and technical excellence.
